Hunting

The hunting season (for both small and big game) runs between October to February. This game is a well-loved leisurely pastime in the whole of Spain. The typical hunted species are the wild fallow deer, roe deer, sheep, wild boar, and other untamed animals. Bird shoots include partridges, wood pigeon and turtledove.

Fishing

With the many fish ports in Spain, it is not unlikely for the fishing activity to be a favorite among Spanish people, especially in La Coruña . After all, just like hunting, fishing has been the main source of income of many locals even centuries ago. Spain has plenty of bodies of freshwater excellent for fishing. Types of fish include brown and rainbow trout, black bass, pike, barbel, perch and tench. Permits are required to carry on with this activity, and can be obtained from the regional wildlife authorities.
