In La Coruña , the month of August is definitely synonymous to the word festivals . There are various events every day of the month all over the city. THE BONFIRES OF SAN JUAN
The La Coruña people welcome the summer season with great fervor by taking part in celebrating the Bonfires of San Juan . On the night of San Juan, which is said to be the shortest night of the year , La Coruña transforms into a colossal flare. The whole of La Coruña is united in this memorable celebration, and the most amazing sight to witness is the large number of blazing bonfires on the beaches of Riazor and Orzán . The dark of night is beautifully speckled the bright orange and yellow hues of the fires.
