Beaches

Santiago de Compostela is considered as the most ideal place to explore the natural beauty of this undiscovered corner of North West Spain. Other than its snow capped mountains and green, bountiful valleys, it has the luxury of virgin and unspoilt beaches such as the following:

Sanxenxo - Portonovo

Sanxenxo is a town that mainly operates on catering to tourists that are looking for some sunshine. Drop by the crowded beaches that have busy sea shores; strut around wearing your sexy bikini, or perhaps lie on your back and cook up a great tan, and later on take a quick dip in the cool waters. As late evening strikes, you can slip on that sexy dress and hit the hip and wild dance clubs.

Close to Sanxenxo is Portonovo, which is a fisherman’s town with an big port and beautiful beaches where you can bask in the warm sunshine and relax your body and soul.

O Grove - A Lanzada Beach - A Toxa Island

This is the paradise of leisure, with three establishments all fitted side by side each other. First off is O Grove, a fishing port known for its fresh, delicious servings of seafood. Next is the Island of A Toxa, a luxury tourist complex with a casino and a golf club. Finally there’s the Peninsula of El Grove, a heavenly hub of numerous pristine beaches, among which, the best known is the one named La Lanzada. Situated in this beach is the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de A Lanzada that dates back to the 13th century.

Vilanova De Arousa

This is the famous birth place of the great writer Ramón María del Valle - Inclán. Right across is the Island of Arousa where you can find pristine beaches and breathtaking landscapes.

If you prefer walking in the mountain, you can a rent a casa rural León Bierzo, which are not far from Santiago de Compostela, and you will enjoy with nature tourism.
